# Capture leads and manage contacts

Every opt-in, application and quiz form saves the person as a contact, with their answers and the funnel they came from. Find them on the **Contacts** page, read individual answers on **Submissions**, and export either to CSV at any time. Lead capture works on every plan, including Free.

## Build an opt-in or application form

1. Open an **Opt-in / Landing** or **Application / Booking** page in the page builder. It already has a form.
2. Select the form and press **Edit Form**.
3. Add the fields you need. Keep opt-in forms short: an email, and perhaps a first name.
4. Choose what happens after submission: go to the next funnel step, open a custom link, or show a confirmation message in place.

Available fields: short text, long text, email, phone, number, website, date, dropdown, single choice, multiple choice, consent checkbox and hidden value. The conditional logic builder can show or hide a field based on an earlier answer.

> **Tip:** every extra field costs sign-ups. Ask for more on an application page, where answers help you qualify people, and less on an opt-in page.

## Your contacts

The **Contacts** page lists everyone who gave you their details, once per email address, even if they signed up in several funnels. For each contact you see their details, the funnels they arrived from and their form answers.

- Search by name or email.
- Filter by funnel to see the leads from one campaign.
- Open a contact to see their full record and every submission.

## Submissions

The **Submissions** page shows each form in your funnels and the individual answers it captured, including typed quiz answers. Open the step a form lives on, or see every submission from one person.

## Export contacts and submissions

On the Contacts or Submissions page, apply any search or funnel filter you want, then press the export button. You get a CSV file with exactly what you see, ready for a spreadsheet, a newsletter tool or a CRM. Your audience is yours, on every plan.

## Spam protection

Forms are protected against bots automatically, without a puzzle for real people to solve. Submissions that arrive impossibly fast, fill in hidden trap fields, or flood in from one address are refused.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is there a limit on how many contacts I can store?

No contact limit applies on any plan. Your plan limits page views and funnels, not the size of your list.

### Can I send leads to my CRM or newsletter tool automatically?

Yes. Add a **Send data to...** step after your form to forward every new lead to Zapier, Make, n8n or your CRM. [Webhook guide](https://sofunnels.com/guide/zapier-make-webhooks).

### Can the same person sign up twice?

Yes, and they remain one contact. Each new submission is added to their record.
